The Proceedings of the ISA RAS published an article by V.N. Krut’ko, N.S. Potemkina. Can the EAT–Lancet Planetary Diet for Health Ensure Sustainable Nutrition?
August 2024
The paper analyzes the EAT–Lancet diet, which is widely discussed in the scientific literature and is positioned as a sustainable planetary diet. At the same time, the sustainability of this diet (diet) is questioned in a number of studies, and attempts are made to improve individual aspects of the diet, which do not lead to an increase in its sustainability as a whole. Our analysis of the EAT–Lancet diet in terms of nutrient adequacy showed that it can be complete if sprouted grains are included in its composition. Such aspects of the diet sustainability as preventive focus, environmental safety, availability and acceptability are considered. A reasonable assumption is made that the use of various sprouted grains and microgreens within this diet can provide the EAT–Lancet diet with such qualities as a health and preventive focus, environmental safety and availability.

The reduction in the rate of human aging in the 20th century as a result of improved quality of life and the effectiveness of health care.
March 2024.
The report by V.I. Dontsov, V.N. Krut’ko was presented at the XI All-Russian scientific and practical conference with international participation “Population Health and Quality of Life”.
A decrease in the aging rate has been observed for populations of all developed countries of the world since the mid-20th century. Correlation analysis of the relationship between the degree of decrease in the aging rate and the characteristics of living conditions showed that the highest correlation for all ages is observed with the effectiveness of health care in the country. The aging rate calculated based on the increase in mortality intensity decreases on average by 1.5 - 2.0 times by 2000 compared to 1950-60. The most likely reason is the undoubted significant improvement in medical and social care and quality of life since the mid-20th century, primarily the success of preventive medicine in the treatment of chronic age-related diseases.

Therapy for chronic diseases can directly affect the mechanisms of aging itself (syndromes common to aging and chronic diseases). The results obtained open the possibility of influencing the aging rate, which was previously considered unlikely.

The Proceedings of the ISA RAS Published an Article by V.N. Krut’ko Life Expectancy as an Indicator of the Quality of Government
March 2024
The paper analyzes the possibilities of using the life expectancy indicator (LE) as an indicator of the macroeconomic and psychological situation in the country, as well as an indicator of the quality of government. The analysis is based on data on changes in LE in Russia in the 20th and 21st centuries. A comparison is made with similar data for Sweden. It is shown that LE very quickly and sensitively reflects these characteristics and can be used to assess them.

These processes are 100% autonomous and automatic. A smartphone application, LifestyleAssistant, has been created, which is the user and system interface. This application is integrated with a cloud server that analyzes data and automatically generates correction recommendations. The system is based on the automated collection and comprehensive analysis of multimodal data on human health, lifestyle, quality of life, priorities, and habitat. Based on these data, the system automatically generates personalized recommendations for correction of detected problems in health, performance, and quality of life, and monitors the effectiveness of the personal correction program. Keywords: information and analytical system, data processing platform, smartphone application, health management, performance management, quality of life management.

The project team has prepared an article "Assessment of the rate of population aging for assessing personal potential and quality of life", authors V.I.Dontsov, V.N.Krut’ko. The article was published in the proceedings of the XVI international scientific conference "System Analysis in Medicine" (October 13-14, 2022, Blagoveshchensk)
October 14, 2022.
Annotation. In general, the level of labor and social activity of a person, his quality of life (QOL) and personal potential (PP) depend on his general viability, which decreases with age. It is shown that the rate of aging for the countries considered has remained unchanged for centuries, but since the middle of the twentieth century there has been a constant decrease in the rate of aging, which counteracts the demographic effect of population aging.

The project team has prepared an article entitled “Comparative Analysis of Methods for Assessing the Rate of Population Aging”, authors V.I.Dontsov, V.N.Krut’ko * , N.A.Ermakova. The article has been accepted for publication in the journal "Biophysics"
September 14, 2022.
Annotation. The essence of aging is the decline in overall vitality with age, which is the main characteristic of a person's personal potential. Vitality (v) is determined as the probability of remaining alive for a year, mortality (m) is defined as the probability to die within a year and is accordingly opposite in meaning, but adequate in the sense of an indicator that determines the degree of aging of the organism. For quantitative The Gompertz-Makeham formula (traditional) has long been widely used in aging analysis approach), which describes quite well the phenomenon of exponential growth of mortality with age. Another approach to assessing the aging process is to calculate the rate of growth the intensity of mortality with age (d(m)), which characterizes the rate of aging. The aim of the work is a comparison of the information content, accuracy and convenience of these approaches for solving the problem estimates of the rate of human aging based on the analysis of age-related mortality in humans populations. It is shown that the indicator d(m) is the most accurate, simple to calculate, mathematically and biologically adequate indicator of the rate of aging. Its use allows us to assess historical changes in the characteristics of human population aging: the constancy of the rate of aging in history and a decrease since the mid-20th century for middle and old age ages, as well as maintaining a reduced rate of aging for long-livers.

The project team has prepared an article entitled “A Method for Optimizing the Assessment of Human Biological Age as an Integral Characteristic of Human Potential,” by V. I. Dontsov, V. N. Krut’ko, and E. V. Belovoy. The article has been accepted for publication in the journal “Proceedings of the Institute of Systems Analysis of the Russian Academy of Sciences.”
May 11, 2022.
Annotation. The basis of economic well-being and development of any country is the personal potential (LP) of a person, which includes physiological, subject-material and social resources. The basic component of LP is its physical (physiological) component, which is understood as the ability of an individual to perform physical and intellectual work. An integral characteristic of this component is general viability, which naturally and sharply decreases with age in the process of biological aging, and the quantitative assessment of which is the mortality rate for populations, and for an individual - biological age (BA). Therefore, the assessment of a person's BA is one of the most important tasks in the range of problems of studying the age dynamics of LP. The authors have developed a method and a computer system for optimizing biomarkers (BM) to determine a person's BB, taking into account customizable BM selection criteria. The method allows automating the construction of BM panels, increasing the accuracy of BM determination and reducing the number of measured BM to the necessary and sufficient optimum.

An article entitled “A set of food products for preventing muscle mass loss and preventing chronic non-communicable diseases in old age” has been prepared and sent to the journal “Healthcare of the Russian Federation”.
February 2022.
The scientific director of the project, Professor V.N. Krut’ko, and his colleagues managed to create the best of the known diets in terms of meeting the requirements of balance, deficiency-free, availability and compliance with official preventive dietary recommendations available in the literature. Half-jokingly, I would like to announce a “challenge” - i.e. a challenge - “Who can offer a better diet than us?” But seriously, we think it is worth publishing our article from the point of view of its practical usefulness, since it offers a specific unique diet created by us, the best for solving the most important task of preventing chronic non-communicable diseases and loss of muscle mass. It turns out that the “programmed micronutrient deficiency” postulated by leading nutritionists can be overcome with the help of modern methods of mathematical programming.
